룩셈부르크 쇼버포어 축제 열려
룩셈부르크에서는 지난 8월 23일부터 9월 11일까지 전통 시장 겸 놀이공원 축제인 쇼버포어(Schueberfouer) 축제가 열렸다.
Founded in 1340 by John the Blind, Count of Luxembourg and Kind of Bohemia, originally as a cattle market, the Schueberfouer is one of the Luxembourg events that definitely cannot be missed. Today the largest fun fair in Luxembourg and the surrounding Greater Region, this year’s edition hosted 180 different rides and games, 15 restaurants, 53 food and confectionary stands and 70 street vendors at what is usually one of the city’s main parking lots. In addition to the festive atmosphere and adrenaline-inducing attractions, the Schueberfouer is the ideal opportunity to try out some local gastronomy such as the typical Luxembourgish potato cakes called Gromperekichelcher or the somewhat scary-looking but delicious baked fish. Washed down with a local beer or a glass of dry Moselle wine, of course
