국내 우주지상국 서비스 및 위성영상 분야 글로벌 기업인 (주)컨텍은 룩셈부르크 우주 레이저 통신전문 기업인 ODYSSEUS Space와 글로벌 광 다운링크 확장을 위한 양해각서를 체결했다.
ODYSSEUS Space and Contect join forces to expand global optical downlink capabilities – a major step forward in making high-speed space-to-ground optical communications accessible for commercial satellite operators. Through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), this partnership includes:
– The development of an integrated optical ground segment, combining both companies’ technologies and infrastructure to broaden access to high-capacity downlink services.
– Technical integration, joint service development, and coordinated commercial efforts to make optical communications more accessible to satellite operators worldwide.
Odysseus will deploy its Cyclops™ Laser Communication solution and SDA-compatible Optical Ground Station network by 2026, paving the way for secure, high-speed data downlink of up to 1TB/day.
Combined together with CONTEC’s own network of optical ground stations, we’re teaming up to enable more secure, scalable, and accessible optical communication for satellite operators worldwide.
