룩셈부르크 산업연맹(FEDIL) 대표단, ‘인공지능·퀀텀’ 주제로 한국 방문
지난 10월 20일부터 23일까지 룩셈부르크 산업연맹(FEDIL)* 소속의 디지털·통신·미디어 분야 주요 기업 대표를 비롯해 정부 및 연구기관 관계자 등 약 20명으로 구성된 대표단이 ‘인공지능(AI)과 퀀텀(Quantum)’을 주제로 한국을 방문했다.
대표단은 방한 기간 동안 SK텔레콤, LG AI연구원, 신한다이아몬드, 롯데 칼리버스, 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI), KAIST, 한국수자원공사(K-water) 등 한국의 AI 및 퀀텀 분야 선도 기업과 연구기관을 방문하고, 한국전자전(Korea Electronics Show)에도 참석했다.
* FEDIL(룩셈부르크 산업연맹) 은 1918년 설립된 이래 약 750개 회원사를 대표하며, 산업 정책 제언, 혁신 협력, 기업 간 네트워킹 등을 주도하는 룩셈부르크의 핵심 산업 단체이다.
From October 20 to 23, a Luxembourg delegation led by FEDIL – The Voice of Luxembourg’s Industry visited South Korea for the 13th FEDIL Study Trip, dedicated to artificial intelligence and innovation. The programme features meetings with leading tech companies, visits to research institutes, and participation in the Korea Electronics Show KES 2025, one of Asia’s flagship technology events.
On October 20, FEDIL and the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) signed a MoU to strengthen economic cooperation. The delegation also visited SK Telecom’s AI Data Center Testbed, gaining insights into how SKT and its partners are developing next-generation AI-driven data infrastructure, and concluded the day with a visit to SHINHANDIAMOND, a global leader in precision industrial tools, showcasing excellence in advanced manufacturing.
On October 21, In Seoul, visits to SK Telecom included insights into next-generation AI and data infrastructure, as well as the SKT.um Tour, showcasing immersive digital experiences and SKT’s vision for connected technologies. In Daejeon, meetings with ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) – Korea’s national ICT research institute and KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) – the country’s leading science and engineering university known for its world-class research and industry collaboration – highlighted Korea’s excellence in innovation and sustainable infrastructure. Discussions at K-water (Korea Water Resources Corporation) focused on how digitalisation and AI enable smarter and more efficient water management.
On October 22, the visit to the LG AI Research Center provided insights into Generative AI applications in the public and financial sectors.
On October 23, FEDIL delegations visited Lotte Caliverse to see their Metaverse contents and technology. Also, FEDIL participated in the Korea Electronics Show KES 2025, one of Asia’s flagship technology events.
