룩셈부르크 대표부는 국제 순위를 종합해보면서 룩셈부르크에 대해 말하는 것을 계속해서 살펴보고 있다. 오늘은 국제화, 혁신 및 경쟁력에 초점을 맞춰보겠다. 인구의 47%가 외국인으로 구성되어 있는 룩셈부르크는 EU에서 가장 국제적인 나라이며 국제적 지향성은 다양한 순위에서 자주 강조된다. 예를 들어 2021년 글로벌 금융 센터 지수(Global Financial Centers Index)에서 룩셈부르크는 전 세계적 8위에 랭크되었고, 세계에서 가장 국제적인 금융 센터로 간주되었다. 2021년 IMD 세계 경쟁력 순위에 따르면, 룩셈부르크는 세계에서 12번째로 경쟁력 있는 경제 국가이며, 2020년 글로벌 혁신 지수(Global Innovation Index)는 룩셈부르크를 세계에서 18번째로 혁신적인 경제로 평가했고, 2021년 유럽 혁신 스코어(European Innovation Scoreboard)는 룩셈부르크를 “강력한 혁신 국가”로 분류했다.
Competitiveness and innovation
According to the 2021 IMD World Competitiveness Ranking, Luxembourg is the 12th most competitive economy in the world – an increase of three places compared to the previous year, although it has been ranked even higher in the past. The 2020 Global Innovation Index considers Luxembourg as the 18th most innovative economy in the world, while the 2021 European Innovation Scoreboard classifies it as a “strong innovator”.

Excellent connectivity
Luxembourg’s outstanding IT infrastructure is also highlighted. According to the 2020 Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), published by the European Commission, Luxembourg is well above the European average in the digital field and has the third best connectivity in the EU.
