세계에서 가장 아름다운 비안덴 성

11세기에서 14세기 사이에 지어진 비안덴 성은 로마와 고딕 시대로 거슬러 올라가는 유명한 봉건 거주지 이다. 비안덴 성은 오늘날 유럽에서 가장 중요한 역사적 건물 중 하나이며 CNN에서 선정한 세계에서 가장 아름다운 21개의 성 리스트에 올라와 있다.

Built between the 11^th and 14^th centuries, Vianden castle today ranks among the most significant historical monuments in Europe. Numerous tourists and residents head around 50 km north of Luxembourg City to visit the restored building and enjoy its spectacular location on a hill overlooking the Our valley.

A feast for the eyes

CNN includes Vianden in its list of 21 beautiful castles described as “a feast for the eyes and a time trip back to the bygone age during which they were created”. The list also names Newschwanstein (Germany), Alcázar of Segovia (Spain), Amber Fortress (India), Ksar of Aït-Ben-Haddou (Morocco), Kalmar Castle (Sweden) and Himeji Castle (Japan), among others.

Castle lovers have a lot to discover in Luxembourg, as the country is home to over 50 castles and picturesque villages. Visitors can enjoy other restored castles such as Beaufort, Bourscheid or Clervaux. They can also take part in medieval festivals, exhibitions and concerts or follow the national hiking trail of the “Valley of the seven castles”.
